FIRST 1000 DAYS FOR A HEALTHY FUTURE | EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Taking appropriate developmental stimuli for healthy growth of children plays a critical role in the first 1000 days also called as early childhood.

The first 1000 days for a Healthy Future project aims to strengthen the young Syrian mothers and future-mothers living in Istanbul. We organized an Early Childhood Development workshop for Syrain and Turkish NGO’s working with Syrian population living in Istanbul’s disadvantaged areas.

First 1000 Days for a Healthy Future | The Early Childhood Education workshop adopts the World Bank Group – international approach based on five key sectors. These sectors are; nutrition, health, water-sanitation, education and protection.

Policy Paper on Early Childhood Education launched.

FIRST 14 WEEKS

There should be a professional medical examination at least 4 times during the pregnancy. The first examination should be within 14 weeks.
